Let’s not forget that this happens because of poor regulations that make it easy for contaminated water to get into the produce fields.

If it’s been a while, does that mean romaine lettuce has killed before? Am I complacent about a green killer among us?
I was around for all the lettuce related outbreaks at Chipotle in 2015. The stock price tumbled like 40% because of that. Bunch of people got salmonella and E. coli.
Time to start microwaving my lettuce!
Or (more reasonably), just keeping it cleaner/fresher than some unfortunate minimum-wage fast-food worker.More like allow the migrant workers forced to pick it for sub minimum wage have access to clean facilities instead of making them just poo in the field.
Also not watering it with sewage water tends to help

However, it has not been a while since we killed romaine lettuce.
