  • That’s the thing. Samsung is already quite bad with price/performance ratio against Chinese brands. But Sony is whole another level. If headphone jack & no China were my only requirements, I’d buy some low-end Samsung. But I also want some performance, decent camera with OIS… Sony for the price around 400 € doesn’t even record 60 fps video and also I’m not sure I could tolerate 60 Hz display again. HMD is Chinese, of course.

Current situation is I’ll just use A52s until it dies (I have it over 2 years now, recently got latest Android and battery still generally lasts 2 days of light use and a whole day of geocaching I like to do)… And then I’ll have to probably get a BT headphones with a next phone…

  • Hmm. I dislike that it uploads every thing as a separate change. I much more prefer editing the whole area and saving it as one neat package, rather than posting hundreds of “this is road is made of asphalt” posts.

So it’s not for me, but if that helps to make OSM better, I’m all for it!

Maybe I could make a separate account without neat history and from time to time click some icons in the app though. That probably wouldn’t bother me as much.

  • I started using Vivaldi when they finally added sync a d the sync is a thing I have the most problems with!

I randomly get duplicate notes and bookmarks if I edit some.

It always feels like ages until things get synchronized between devices (e.g. tabs).

There’s this very prominent button in the share menu “Send to device” which doesn’t work at all (I’ve read somewhere that it’s a deprecated thing from Chromium, but why haven’t they removed it for several years it’s broken…?)

And also in past months it just randomly disconnected from the server several times on several devices, didn’t even notify me except for changing the sync icon (on Android you have to go to the settings menu), and for a reconnect, I had to enter the passphrase again each time.
