Yup. Theres plenty of boomers who scroll Facebook and see all their politics from their conservative friends/families/ad networks/russian social bots and been fed that rhetoric, but also will get a newspaper delivered like the NYT. Here’s hoping whatever impact it can make, it will make
Lotta “canned beans in runny tomato sauce” haters in this thread
Sometimes the regime needs less babies because it’s hard on the machine. Sometimes the regime needs more because they need bodies to feed the machine

The Register has been referring to Google as The Chocolate Factory for almost 10 years. As to why, probably because of google’s confectionary named Android releases, which they stopped at Android 10

There’s a reason why all the cyberpunk stories are about corporatacracies and/or spacefaring feudalist states running human society in the future. Life imitates art.
Ah my favorite four products all on the same shelf. Alkaline, alka-seltzer, alka-sauce, and alkahol
Not to worry, you have other fascist leaders in mech form like:

“found great success in Hollywood as an actor, writer, and producer including accolades for his role as the voice actor for Jimmy Pesto, Sr. in the animated series Bob’s Burgers and as Officer Taylor in Arrested Development,”
“Sir, my client was excellent at playing incompetent villains on TV. This trial against him being an incompetent villain has no basis!”
I mean also AI summarizing conversations is a useful feature as long as you view it as what it is. Potentially one of the few examples where an LLM is actually useful. My family has an ongoing group chat that is constantly just dumb shit; some days just 100 messages ranting about something or other, but sometimes there’s something worth seeing like events and the like. Trusting AI to glean all the information properly is dumb. Being able to use it to quickly grep what’s happening before doing your own reading isn’t.
I posited that Trump will continue and increase that aid because it benefits him. You didn’t address that claim at all, but instead spoke of the existing aid to Israel. I didn’t say that would stop. You never addressed my original point. Insult me all you like, it doesn’t change the fact that Trump will do whatever the fuck it takes to maintain and increase his power, and as you said “Israel is using ordinance faster than we can make it” but we can certainly make it faster, and there’s more money and power to be had in the further production of it, especially when your first goal is to remove any sort of check or balance in place when it comes to where taxpayer money goes
Trump loves money. One of the best ways best way for him to get more money once in power is increasing our military spending on Israel aid, that’s the “but worse” part. In what world do you think he’d do the inverse of maintaining his power? There’s a reason the military industrial complex wants him in power
Yeah I don’t “believe” our system best serves the common good. But I sure as hell will vote for Kamala because it’s very clear that is my best course of action to serve the common good. Voting for a third party won’t lead to a system where more parties have a voice, it will help Trump get into power, where only a single party has a voice, and any other voice will be silenced
How many dudes who have paid Andrew Tate money will vote for Kamala you think?
I would argue that “men don’t bond” if they were raised on the alpha male bullshit you escaped from on the internet. I met my best friend in high school, we went to college together, and then he moved across the country over 10 years ago. We’re both in our early thirties now. But we chat still nearly every weekend, talk about life, boost each other’s spirits, chat politics, hopes, dreams, regrets, give each other advice based on our individual experiences. We never were part of the “kick each other in the balls = friendship” crowd, and while it’s certainly there, I think that saying generally men all feel that way is a bit disingenuous
