That’s called tailgating, and nobody can actually do it adeptly. It is far more dangerous than speeding is. You can’t account for a car in front of you suddenly needing to break if you are tailgating. It doesn’t matter how good of a driver you are. Physics is against you.
I’m guessing you haven’t driven I-4 in Florida. Rated multiple times as the most dangerous stretch of highway in the US. People just change lanes without indicating or even looking. It’s crazy.

The most frustrating drivers I’ve ever encountered, however, were in the Northern Virginia/DC area. So much entitlement. People stopping their cars in all sorts of places where you’re not supposed to, putting their hazards on as though that makes parking anywhere legal. Driving aggressively. Just generally entitled, crappy drivers (maybe because the population is so heavily made up of immigrants from countries with different rules–just a guess).
I’ve been through most of the US at this point and lived in a handful of states. Those two are the worst. LA sucks, too, but that’s mostly because of traffic.
I was commenting more on the name “hug of death”. That didn’t start on Reddit.
I hope that this is a point Americans take away from this. It’s disgusting the amount of resources that went into finding this one person who was clearly not a threat to the general public.
They are both the same: a jury voting “not guilty”. There is no such thing as an “innocent” verdict.
Any intelligent person might be shaking when they know they’re about to be booked into the US prison system.

Whether one sympathizes with this particular crime aside, that is insane. They are openly showing the population that they give hundreds of times the resources to crimes against the wealthy than they do to those against your average everyday individual. And somehow nobody’s focusing on that. How is it okay that you get more than 200 detectives looking for the murderer of some random CEO, while the murder of some random retail worker or office worker would get maybe two detectives with a full case load?
They’re not even pretending to not be corrupt.
He was saying 25% for Canada and Mexico and an extra 10% for China. Which means 35% for China.
And yet, despite being the ones with the power (compared to the rest of us), they still lick the boot.
I think that is or is soon going to be a lot of us. Especially as end of life care leads to people selling their real estate rather than giving it to their children.

Not OP, but it’s a big state. I went to Texas for the first time recently and I was very uncomfortable on their highways. People speed and tailgate quite a lot. Definitely bad drivers.
