Oddly enough, I saw the base Sims 4 and a couple expansions last time I was at Walmart. They were mixed in with the discount PC gambling, match 3, and other low quality games.

I’d like to think it was a combination of all the online shopping sites for all your non-groceries that started killing them off.
Why go to a mall to buy that hat you always wanted when it’s not only available online on the website of wherever you are planning to go but could be cheaper? That, or just buy it on Am*zon.
That, and I firmly believe people in various first world countries have gotten lazy enough that they’ll gladly wait the however long it takes for something to arrive by mail, but spending the time to have to drive somewhere and walk from the parking lot to wherever in the mall the store they want is? Haell Nah! Combine that with inflation (meaning higher gas prices) and you have people not going to malls unless they have to.
It’s why surviving US malls usually have something to keep them alive to attract people anymore, I swear. Some sort of gimmick like that one well known mall with the amusement park in it or how the mall near where I live has an aquarium in it (never been, so I don’t know how effective it is at attracting people). I don’t think the restaurants you’ll find in malls are even enough to attract enough people keep malls afloat, either, but I could be dead wrong about that one.
That image is absolutely cursed. Don’t like it at all.
bringing “in-air” gestures to airpods
I can’t wait for stories of people brushing their hair away and the earbuds take that as a sign to raise the volume too high or something equally dumb to happen because they won’t be able to differentiate between a normal gesture meant for it and something not meant for it.
Gesture controls are cool, but what happens if they are too sensitive to movement or think gesture xyz is the same as gesture zyx?
I don’t think there’s any meta progression as far as I’m aware, but I find Shattered Pixel Dungeon (available on both android and ios) to be a low stress enough game. I suck at it, so I’ve never gotten much further than the first boss fight, but the game is about running through randomly generated dungeons, going down floor by floor as one of 4 different characters.
Last night for $4.99 and $2.99 I got Worms W.M.D. and Worms Armageddon on Steam since I haven’t played any worms games outside of Worms 2: Armageddon on xbox360.
Tried Armageddon last night and it was pretty fun. Only gripe I have with it is that I had to plug in a mouse and keyboard to my deck dock.
Have yet to try W.M.D. yet and don’t know if it has an offline singleplayer player vs computer mode, but I’ve seen enough videos of people playing it for me to think I’d have a good time playing it.
He’s just one I stopped watching put of boredom and disinterest in his content. I don’t know if there’s any drama with him specifically.
Totally depends on timeline and if we’re also including TLoK as well. Anytime before the wars began, gotta agree with someone else who said fire nation. During the war? Probably still in the fire nation since you don’t really see them getting attacked in their nation much. The fascist kinda lifestyle wouldn’t be too cool, but would rather not live in constant fear of being attacked over accidentally saying something wrong. Especially since I’m fairly positive there’s no way I’d be a bender.
If we’re talking TLoK included, don’t remember which natition it’s in, but the metal city where they literally open it up like a blooming flower seems like a cool place to live.
Pretty sure a lot of people could relate, but watching a variety of various game players who years later you lose interest in (mostly because of how cringe they are) or in my case at some point somehow find out some terrible news about them despite avoiding all the real world drama.
People like Bijuu Mike, Gloom, Logdotzip, etcetera.
Can’t find another example I wanted to use since I couldn’t remember the account name nor does it matter since I’m pretty sure it was found out he was a horrible person.
Also it’s pretty interesting to see some people you’re following on yt who you don’t remember why you subbed to because there are definitely both active and dead channels I’m currently subbed to that I forgot even existed.
I am one of those people who thinks it’s just creepy regardless of the situation for someone to want to willingly buy used hygiene products. The people selling their used hygiene products, weird, but not creepy in my mind like the buyers.
Headlines like this really make me question how many critically online creeps who probably have never seen a singlular woman besides their mom before are out there buying this kinda stuff.
I don’t know how must have it is, but I’ve been enjoying Isles of Sea and Sky, a sokoban type puzzle game currently 10% off until July 11th (currently $17.99). I’m pretty sure it’s maybe a month or two old at least.
That, or depending on how mistreated they were in North Korea, the soldiers surrender immediately because I’d have to assume Ukrainian prisons/jails/whatever are nowhere near as bad as just living in North Korea.
The way I see AI being implemented into Firefox, regardless of whether it’s gonna be opt-in or out in the future is that they need to keep up with the latest browser trends in the future. If they don’t, they will definitely lose more of whatever probably small amount of remaining normies who don’t use edge or chrome but instead opt for Firefox. They’re not tech literate enough to see a conveniently placed ad telling them that xyz browser now uses AI security features and Firefox doesn’t and discern the fact that it’s a ploy to get them to switch. We need more normies if we really want a chance to keep Firefox more than just treadingn water, and the best way is to offer more random bullshit of the week to keep them from switching to a competitor.
I personally like to reserve “parasite” for the investors, the ones who will literally send you to court if you try to be human to your employees.
They never did.
I’d like to think Lemmy is still small enough that talking about piracy of their games and stuff is flying under their radar for now, which is why I don’t care. Also, fuck Sintendo. I ain’t afraid of their corporate stasi.
Also, on Steam Deck, Emudeck takes away the vast majority of complications regarding getting multiple emulators set up by having pre-configured configurations for each emulator you install to try and make sure game compatibility and running them is as smooth as can be for most games.
Both of them offering online features is true, but as far as I’m aware, you ain’t connecting to any official servers.
If you’re playing offline with friends, Emudeck has Ryujinx available. All you’d need is to either dump your cartridge if you can (which I don’t know how to do) or get a copy and make sure you got a dock to hook up your deck to the TV. I don’t know what kind of port the GameCube controllers use or if they’ll work, though. I don’t have one, so I couldn’t tell you. I know the 3rd party wired pro controller I have works fantastically, though. Only other thing you gotta worry about it having enough ports to plug in to depending on the number of players and dock you got.
As for whether the game will be as smooth on Ryujinx as it is on switch, that’s something I don’t know considering I’ve never tried it on my deck.
Well, who else is gonna wait for some passionate fan of the original to play 2 minutes of that game, get a refund, then work on an open source clone of the original that will absolutely be the unofficial official sequel literally all fans wanted?
