I guess some of us keep hoping that now that we exist in the future and have objective data, results, facts, etc that we can stipulate truth from lies/propaganda and the right thing.

Well it is bizarre from gastronomical industry point of view. They probably require wearing hair nets, but a snot on a burger is acceptable.
