The Taliban administration wants to formally join Chinese President Xi Jinping's huge 'Belt and Road' infrastructure initiative and will send a technical team to China for talks, Afghanistan's acting commerce minister said on Thursday.

It’s funny because they would likely get more jobs and generate experience in Afghanistan, unlike Pakistan which has been sitting on its ass and using all of its CPEC funds to buy foreign retirement mansions for its generals and political inept.
No I am not kidding, PPP spent 15x as much per km of road to upgrade the Skardu road compared to China making a whole highway through several mountain ranges, with huge tunnels included.
