Nope, but that being said I don’t believe in the government being competent enough to do so in the first place,

Then I don’t think you’re a libertarian. If you were, you would not believe that this is even a possibility. My understanding is that it’s a core belief that the government, by definition, cannot be competent enough to do things like that.

Is it mansplaining to point out that you don’t agree with a core principle of your claimed ideology? Are you really that sensitive to the most benign criticism of what you supposedly believe?

OK then. And here I thought you were up for an honest conversation. My mistake.

It is definitely mansplaining when you tell me that I don’t actually understand what libertarianism is, I’m not actually a libertarian even if I say I am, and that I need a big, strong man like you to explain all this to silly little old me.

Sounds like you just don’t like having your beliefs challenged.

Good luck with… life I guess.

Wrong. I simply don’t like having someone who doesn’t even know me try to correct me about what my own personal beliefs are. It’s rude.

That’s like me telling you, “Well, you must obviously be a Mormon, since you believe murder is wrong and Mormons believe that too. I don’t care if you say you aren’t an Mormon. You actually are a Mormon, and the only reason you’d deny being a Mormon is because you just don’t like having your beliefs challenged.”

See how condescending that sounds? If you want to “challenge my beliefs”, be polite while doing so.
