Summary

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is organizing grassroots events to oppose Trumpā€™s policies, arguing that ā€œTrumpism does not believe in democracy.ā€

In an op-ed, Sanders criticized Trumpā€™s ties to Elon Musk, federal budget cuts, and media influence, warning of authoritarianism.

He cited Trumpā€™s recent post likening himself to Napoleon and accused him of disregarding the rule of law.

The White House dismissed Sandersā€™ concerns, accusing Democrats of authoritarian tactics.

How dare I hold our leaders to account for doing nothing for decades and allowing the country to fall to fascism?

    I canā€™t fucking stand liberals.

You can hold leaders to account, and you should - thereā€™s plenty to hold them to account for - but that still doesnā€™t answer the question of what is to be done in this present moment right now.

You want a general strike, but you have no idea who is going to organize one, or how theyā€™re going to do it, because youā€™d rather feel justified in your outrage over grudges of the past than actually see anything useful done.

Youā€™re more interested in feeling righteous than you are in succeeding, and thatā€™s going to get you exactly nowhere.
