It worries me to see another engine getting mothballed in favor of Unreal 5. With all the garbage surrounding Unity lately I don’t want the industry’s eggs to all end up in a few baskets. I for one don’t see Unreal’s prices to stay at their current rate forever, especially while Epic is bleeding money in the Epic Games Store.
Maybe with Counter Strike 2 Valve can jump back in as a relevant player in the engine space.
