Because the person in question caused immense pain and suffering to a huge swath of the UK population and publicly announced many times that she did not care.

That is how. I am explaining the how and not endorsing the sentiment.

When you have a principled understanding of what people like Margaret Thatcher do to others and why they do it. When you see people drink themselves to death over their economic situation. When you see people suffering from curable illnesses to make some profit line go up with the key support of someone like Thatcher.

The pretense of civility or respect for abjectly evil and ruthless sociopaths is one of the first aspect of liberalism anyone should shed. They are our enemies and it is us vs them. Whether you are fighting them or not, they’re fighting you.
