    Lots of people who think “hot take” as a preface really just means “I’m about to say some dumb shit that I don’t want to be held socially accountable for”, more like.

      Oh sure the majority of the majority race voted for Trump, must be the Latinos’ fault.

      Side note - did the definition of “hot take” change in recent years? I thought it used to mean “this is my first reaction without taking the time to look deeply” then suddenly it became “here’s my unpopular opinion.”

      Was I ever right? Or was it always used like it is today?
