Billionaires dying won’t save the Earth. Just ask Lachlan Murdoch or any of the Waltons.

Generational wealth is never-ending with our current system. For every billionaire, there’s a beneficiary.

Yeah, if THEY die too and their grotesque dragon hoards of wealth are distributed amongst the needy, that would help A LOT.

Still not going to take all the cars and trucks off the road, shut down all the coal power plants, the cement kilns, the superfreighters, the steel mills, fertilizer plants…

Climate change is everyone’s responsibility, not just the people selling it. It’s no different from the drug trade. We’re the buyers in that transaction. We’re addicted to the lifestyle fossil fuels provide us. Giving them up means going back to a 17th century lifestyle. No one wants that.

Way to ignore the fact that differences of scale even exist 🤦

The ultra-rich are more responsible for releasing carbon dioxide than everyone else by a factor of anything between 25 and 40 and STILL you act like there’s no difference and there shouldn’t be extra focus on them.

Guess who owns the fossil fuel industries, the cement kilns, the steel mills, and the fertilizer plants and are standing in the way of less destructive ways to provide all of the things a modern society uses?

While it’s technically true that everyone’s responsible, to pretend that it’s not the more the responsibility of the by far worst offenders is enormously obtuse at best, deliberately standing in the way at worst.

So what if you kill them all? Their industries will still exist. The products/energy/services they provide we still need. The zero-carbon replacements you allude to are still in the research labs, not even the drawing board. It’s not like they’re just about to take over as soon as the fossil fuel magnates are out of the way. They’re decades from being ready and climate change is happening right now!

We’re picking up pennies in front of a steamroller.

That’s patently false to the point of disinformation.

Renewable energy production exists and is capable to cover the entire world’s consumption and then some with CURRENT technology.

While not zero-carbon, electric motors are still a vast improvement and the technology is there to replace the internal combustion engine of every vehicle on wheel plus many on the water.

Hell, there’s even more environmentally friendly steel available TODAY!

In conclusion, gtfo with your defeatist lies. A better, more sustainable future is ready the moment billionaires and hectomillionaires, who have as much political power as they have wealth, get out of the fucking way.
