    If we don’t have some concrete measure of income minus median living expenses, we really should. CoL differences around the country make talking about raw income dollars kind of deceptive. Rather than add special clauses here and there for income thresholds we should just be using the thing that actually measures how much beyond-necessities money someone is earning.
