Giving the Indian government the benefit of the doubt–aren’t they basically forced to be anti-China? China’s claiming the disputed territories of Aksai Chin, Arunachal, and is also creating new disputes in Sikkim and elsewhere on the Himalayan border.
Of these disputes, the only remotely debatable one is Aksai Chin, the rest objectively belong to India on extremely obvious geographic and historical grounds
if there is one thing that the Indian admin definitely does not even pretend to care about its the north east. Like don’t believe me, look at the recent pogroms in manipur.
There are similar pogroms except in the opposite direction, and on a more massive scale, in Burma (one of China’s closest allies). The Rohingya crisis is as big as the Palestinian one, and bigger than anything going on in NE India.
