On Wednesday night, Trumpās āSave Americaā leadership PACāthe political committee thatĀ now functions primarily as his legal slush fundāreported paying lawyers $5.6 million last month, according to Federal Election Commission filings. Thatās well above the $5 million total the PAC raised in the same period.
The PAC alsoĀ deferred paymentĀ on more than half a million dollars in additional fees toĀ Alina Habba, who represented Trump in both of his milestone court losses in New York this year, while racking up a $645,000 bill to a company tasked with managing legal records in his business fraud case.
Two things: First, LMAO they only raised $8,508 in a month? They would have been better off opening a lemonade stand.
Second, remember when Trump first announced his candidacy and said heād be paying for his campaign using his own personal money? How far weāve come since then.
The āpay for it himselfā lasted a couple of months. iirc he spent about $50 million priming the pump and then began accepting donations.
