I predict they will do well. They’ll get sympathy votes from their supporters, and there’s nothing their enemies can do to stop it

There’s no way the Mossad isn’t helping them at least to some place right in the middle.

I didn’t expect anything from them and they still manage to disappoint me

Do Americans really wanna play this game? Cause if so we should ban you guys from every global competition for all your genocides and atrocities that you continue to do

I’m not American, it’s not an American competition, I don’t understand what this means here. In any case, it is not a historical event, it has not been 20, 10 or 5 years since this happened, this happens and will be happening at the same moment that a representative of the country starts singing to celebrate and entertain the rest, it is grotesque to say the least.

As an American. Yes we do. You’re being hyperbolic. But I agree that America has a lot to answer for historically. My ancestors, in particular being many of those who were genocided. What’s right is right. And no one is being hypocritical here. Except perhaps you in this instance.

Yikes. The genocide maniacs are in. Guess I won’t watch Eurovision this time around.

+1 reasons not to see it. The way they turned the results last year, was the drop for me. I’ll only watch it when they remove the jury votes. All power to the viewers

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Israel can compete in this year’s Eurovision song contest, organisers have said, despite calls for it to be excluded over the Gaza war as Russia was after invading Ukraine.

The European Broadcasting Union said on Thursday it had conducted a review and decided Israel could participate in the kitsch annual pop extravaganza.

“The Eurovision song contest is a non-political music event and a competition between public service broadcasters who are members of the EBU.

The war in Gaza was triggered by Hamas’s 7 October attack on Israel, which resulted in the deaths of about 1,160 people, mostly civilians.

“In the case of Russia, the Russian broadcasters themselves were suspended from the EBU due to their persistent breaches of membership obligations and the violation of public service values,” he said.

Malmö is hosting the 68th edition after Swedish singer Loreen won the 2023 contest in Liverpool with the song Tattoo, watched by some 162 million viewers.

I mean, even if they won’t be able to participate, it wouldn’t lead to a change of mind from Netanjahu in this case. So stop the Hamas, give the people a structure, where are the neighbors countrys. Israel is not an evil, it’s the leaders in they’re politics, those are not represented by the population. Peace.
