Firefox has its own set of issues. It is the best we have right now but we could benefit from another choice.
I don’t think there really is a need or use case for Serenity OS outside of a hobby project. However, having a new web engine would be great for the open web. I just hope they take privacy seriously.

Someone could simply modify Nextcloud to lie about encryption. If you don’t control the server there is no way to know.
Signal is the only one that is open. However, Simplex Chat is better.
I personally won’t use anything that is a closed standard like RCS. At the end of the day it depends on Google and the Google proprietary app.
