They donā€™t care about anything but money. CBS CEO himself said it plain as day

He also said the 2016 presidential election is a ā€œcircusā€ and that there is a lot of ā€œbomb throwingā€ ā€” and he hopes it keeps on like that.

ā€œIt may not be good for America, but itā€™s damn good for CBS,ā€ he said Monday at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference in San Francisco, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

ā€œMost of the ads are not about issues. Theyā€™re sort of like the debates. ā€¦ Man, who would have expected the ride weā€™re all having right now? ā€¦ The moneyā€™s rolling in and this is fun,ā€ he added. ā€œIā€™ve never seen anything like this, and this going to be a very good year for us. Sorry. Itā€™s a terrible thing to say. But, bring it on, Donald. Keep going.ā€

He also said that, ā€œDonaldā€™s place in this election is a good thing.ā€

Clearly nothing has changed in that regard. I guess the billionaires that own the big media corps also would rather Donald and his tax breaks for the wealthy over any dem, so thereā€™s that too. They are confident they can outlast the fascism theyā€™ve been helping to usher in.

TV news is how we got stuck with this AH in the first place. All they care about is ratings.

Itā€™s all about ratings. Just like how quarterly sales must always go up, rating must always go up.

Exactly the thought I had when his presidency was over! He, this, is all normal now.

Itā€™s so depressing that weā€™re back in the place where news cycles consist of Trump does horrible thing --> media resorts on horrible thing --> opinion media questions whether the original reporting contained a sufficiently outraged tone and whether not doing so is itself harmful --> Trump does new and worse horrible thing. Not to say that any of this is the wrong reaction, I just thought my days of getting sucked into these news cycles was over and itā€™s depressing that weā€™ve got a year more of this shit again, like some shitty deja vu. At least itā€™ll only be a year, cause either Biden will win or Trump will win and abolish the press, either way itā€™ll be over by 2025.

"One-third of Republicans today believe that true American patriots may have to resort to violence to save the country, compared with 22% of independents and 13% of Democrats, according to a poll by PRRI that was published last month. Those percentages have increased since 2021, when 28% of Republicans and 7% of Democrats held this belief. "

The revolution the crazy populist lefties have been begging for is coming, unfortunately for us though its going to be a fascist one not a socialist one.
