Semyon Ivanovich Zelenskyy. Fought since 1942 right after he became 18 years old. After training in the mortar school - a subleiutenant of a mortar platoon. For courage and bravery during Nikopolsko-Krivorozhskoy operation in 1943 awarded with a Red Star. For a succsessful forsing of a Western Bug in 1944, Semyon Zelenskyy (already a company commander) awarded with a second Red Star.

    Tbh it is kinda popular last name in most slavic languages, with tons of variations, meaning “green” so there will be lots of different people named like that. Remember Nadiezdin, narodnik theoretician often bashed by Lenin? His real name was Zelensky too.
